Conversation is a necessary part of human existence. In-person communication helps us form relationships that keep us healthy. However, in an increasingly digital age, more and more communication takes place over mobile devices and the richness and complexity of face-to-face communication is lost.
Conversation Bubble uses Faraday cage technology to create “quiet zone” pockets using metal shielding to deflect radio waves that wifi and cell signal rely on. This space encourages conversation by and human connection between its occupiers via disconnection from the digital world. On college campuses public conversational space is often turned into workspace. Conversation Bubble is solely meant for conversation and provides what is often lost: a place to talk to and enjoy the presence of those around you.
